GrowNYC’s SNAP Ed Capacity Grant Food Access Technical Training is a free capacity building opportunity designed for nonprofit organizations and community based groups interested in launching or strengthening a retail farm stand or food box program in their neighborhoods. The training includes one live digital information session and three self paced modules focused on Farm Stand, Food Box, and Wholesale operations.
The session provides an overview of program models, eligibility requirements (such as FNS authorization for SNAP and nutrition incentive integration), and core operational considerations including ordering, pricing, staffing, and poundage tracking. Participants will receive practical guidance on implementation, onboarding, and ongoing reporting requirements tied to SNAP Ed deliverables. This training equips organizations with the technical knowledge, compliance framework, and operational tools needed to implement financially viable and community responsive food access programs.
