About the Book: Lido transports readers to Italian beach clubs, or Lidos, through food and culture. Part 1 is an introduction to the beach clubs along the Italian coast, while Part 2 shares over 60 recipes from aperitivi to dolci. With delicious recipes like Blistered Shisitos with Eggplant Puree, Orecchiette with Blistered Sungold Tomato Sauce & Ricotta Salata, Rhubarb Negroni, and more, Lido shows readers how to live la dolce vita.
About the Authors: Melissa Pellegrino and Matthew Scialabba are the husband and wife chef-owners of the popular Italian restaurant, Bufalina, in Guilford, Connecticut. Award winning restaurateurs, authors of the cookbooks The Italian Farmers’ Table and The Southern Italian Farmers’ Table, and frequent contributors to La Cucina Italiana, they are deeply familiar with the intimacies of Italian culture, lifestyle, and cuisine.
The Union Square Greenmarket Book Signings are produced in collaboration with Kitchen Arts & Letters, a New York City bookstore specializing in food and drink. Located on the Upper East Side, they sell cookbooks and a wide range of food history, scholarship, and food writing.
