Employer matching gifts
Your support of GrowNYC can go twice as far – many employers will match contributions made to nonprofit organizations by their employees.
Use the search tool to see if your company will match your donations and to access the forms, guidelines, and instructions that you need to submit a matching gift. It is super-easy to check, and in most cases will take less than 30 seconds to find out if your gift qualifies!
Give from donor-advised funds (DAF)
GrowNYC is also eligible to receive donor-advised funds. Use the DAF Direct portal below or make a grant recommendation to your donor advised fund for GrowNYC today.
If you prefer to use your DAF portal, GrowNYC’s EIN is 13-2765465.
Please notify advancement@grownyc.org if you make a DAF gift and would like an acknowledgement, in case the sponsoring organization does not share your information.

Donate Stock
When you donate appreciated assets that you’ve held for over a year, you can avoid capital gains taxes while also receiving a charitable deduction for the full market value of the asset. This means you can give more to GrowNYC while maximizing your tax benefits.
If you’d like to donate a gift of stock:
- Notify us: Let us know you plan to donate a gift of stock or mutual funds by contacting advancement@grownyc.org

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
If you are 70½ years or older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly from your IRA to GrowNYC. This type of gift not only counts towards your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) but also allows you to avoid taxable income on the distribution.
For contributions to qualify, transfers must go directly from your IRA to GrowNYC. Your total IRA contribution(s) in one year cannot exceed $100,000, and no goods or services may be received for the gift.
Please note: for a QCD to count toward the current year’s RMD, the funds must come out of your IRA by your RMD deadline, which is generally December 31st each year.
Legacy Gifts
We would be honored if you included GrowNYC in your will or estate plan. Simply share this sentence with your attorney or financial planner:
“I bequeath $____ or ____% of my estate to GrowNYC, PO Box 2327, New York, NY 10272.”
