The Columbia Greenmarket has connected local farms and farmers to this Morningside Heights neighborhood since 2001. Every Thursday and Sunday, year-round, university students and faculty, hospital staff, visitors, and patients, as well as Upper West Side residents, can find a diverse selection of locally-grown and produced foods throughout the market. The Thursday market thrives on the bustle of the work and school day schedule, while Sundays are more laid back and neighbors can be found loading up for the week. Beyond shopping, visitors can enjoy cooking demonstrations, educational programs, and pick up free recipes at the Market Information Tent.
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on donations to support our work in education, food access, agriculture and green space in NYC.
Your support helps keep our gardens blooming, our Greenmarkets thriving, New Yorkers of all ages learning and connecting with nature, and our communities growing stronger—together.
