Bringing fresh and local produce to New Yorkers since 1976
Since 1976, GrowNYC Greenmarkets have supported regional agriculture and provided New Yorkers with access to the freshest local produce.
As the largest year-round outdoor farmers market network in the United States, we maintain strict “producer-only” standards, meaning farmers and food businesses at the market sell only farm-based products they grow, raise, catch, bake, and produce themselves.
All our farmers, producers, bakers, and fishers are from the Northeast and offer a diverse array of seasonal foods and products at our 45 seasonal and year-round markets across New York City.

FAQs
Thank you for your interest in selling at GrowNYC’s Greenmarket locations. Greenmarkets are producer-only farmers markets. We have detailed eligibility requirements for producers and the products they sell. These requirements ensure that the Greenmarket program is aligned with our mission to support regional farmers and preserve the region’s farmland for the future. Our markets are primarily for local and regional farmers to sell what they grow and make from their farm’s harvest. Please complete the form. Please carefully review the information at the top of the form before completing it. If you are not a farmer, please understand that we may consider non-farmer producers for three categories of products: preserves that are made with local produce; baked goods that are made with local grain, produce, and animal products; and ocean fish that are caught in mid-Atlantic waters by local commercial fishers. If you are not a local farmer, nor a producer whose products fit into the three categories above, you will not be eligible for the Greenmarket program. If you are interested in other local markets, these sites may be helpful. We appreciate your interest in the Greenmarket program.
